I am an attorney here to help you sue these people.  Please contact me if you are interested in receiving compensation from these scam artists.  I am both a doctor and an attorney with over $6,000,000 in recoveries over the past two years.  310-289-2600.

Wow, I can’t believe some of the comments here. My wife and I enrolled in GDM over two years ago after we accumulated some bad business debt, and are better than satisfied with the help they have provided. It could be better in some ways, but I give them a solid B+.

Before signing anything or handing some portion of my financial future over to GDM, I investigated them for numerous hours and spent a lot of time on the phone with their reps asking questions. Yes, they do take a % of your recovery money in fees, but they were up front about it and provided us an amortization chart showing how the process worked. As they repeatedly told us, the process takes time and to have patience. Even when a couple of creditors tried to take us to court, they were calm and provided us the necessary documents to file and steps to take to ensure an outcome in our favor. (In one instance, the judge threw out the case because our paperwork was more ‘by the book’ than the attorney for the creditor. I still laugh about that to this day.)

We have settled two creditor accounts so far and are have 3 more to go. The first settled for about 50% of the original debt and the second settled for about 33% of the original debt. Not bad if you ask me. We also had the ability to prioritize the debts we wanted settled. For example, we wanted our Bank of America CC settled first because we had our mortgage with them as well and didn’t want one account to contaminate the other.

I am really puzzled about the comment above where the guy says they took his money and never called him back. We have a personal account rep, know her by name, and call / e-mail her from time to time. She always a quick response and has answers for us.

For us, it has been a decent experience, and helped us avoid dealing with obnoxious creditors who repeatedly call looking for their money after we have told them many times we don’t have it. We recommend them – but know what you are getting into. Not a quick fix! Not an instant result! But over the long term will save you money and get you out of debt on more favorable terms.

SCAM! My impression of Global Debt Management (they send out letters as a fake Federal government agency I guess called the Federal Debt Relief Plan) is that they are snakes who steal and lie and cheat people out of money. These guys are bad news and may be scam artists. The owner is Banir “Benny” Ganatra. I think all Global Debt Management cares about is ripping people off to make as much money as they can and use debt relief as their front. There are many legitimate debt relief companies in business that provide a good service, but I don’t believe Global Debt Management is one of them. For example, Global Debt Management sent an acquaintance of mine a letter as the ‘Federal Debt Relief Plan’ from Washington, DC. What was odd to me was that this company is based in Southern California (Irvine, CA). I looked up Global Debt Management on the BBB and found that they have an F rating for numerous complaints. Why would a company send out a letter under a fake name unless it was a scam. At first glance the letter from the Federal Debt Relief Plan looked like it was from the Federal government given the name and the claims made in the letter. I have sent numerous complaints to The Association of Settlement Companies (TASC) and provided them with examples of this letter since Global Debt Management is part of this association. This debt relief association appears to be very serious about shutting down these types of companies and will likely notify the proper authorities. In the meantime…BEWARE!

It seems Global Debt Management was sending out bogus, official looking federal debt relief mailers sometime last year. They are TASC members, but something tells me TASC didn’t do anything about it, as I see they are still accredited TASC members. Does TASC ever do any meaningful policing of their members?

I enrollend into a program with this company over 12 months ago and it was very difficult in the begganning because I had over 74,000 in CC debt. Although my representative helped me stay calm through the process and they finally settled me 2nd credit card with B of A for 3000 instead of 10k. I am very pleased so far.
