You can never get in touch with them after 5 or on the weekends
–> Sounds like they have operating hours. Some business aren’t 24 hours

If it goes to collections, take their settlement offer. You have a week to come up with the funds, and most of the time its 50 percent or lower
–> 50% for a lot of accounts is a high figure. Depending on the creditor, aiming between 20-40%. Discover, as mentioned above, rarely get’s that low.

This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. Don’t sign up. They outsource everything after you deal with the main company. They are very nice in Colorado when you speak to the main office, after that, all bets are off. They tell you they are working on your case, but you have to call them consistently to get any updates. Then your dealing with a bunch of kids at their outsourcing location in Ca. You can never get in touch with them after 5 or on the weekends, even if you leave a message they will not return your calls. If you get served, you better call a lawyer. Don’t listen to anything Prestige tells you, it will not work. The only way to get a settlement at that point is to get a lawyer involved, and then pay of the debt in full. Once they get a judgement you are screwed, and Prestige is no help at all.

If your behind on your bills call the credit card company, and offer a settlement. If it goes to collections, take their settlement offer. You have a week to come up with the funds, and most of the time its 50 percent or lower. You will have to come up with the funds in a week or so. Don’t accept, or pay anything until you have it in writing from the collections office. Then pay it immediately. You don’t need Prestige Solutions.

We are very unhappy with the service we have received from Prestige Financial Solutions!!!! Not only have they taken over $1000 of our hard-earned money and done absolutely nothing to settle our debt with Discover and Chase banks, but we have been forced into settling with Discover for the full amount owed (no help from PFS in that deal at all!) to avoid having wage garnishments and seizure of our assets! We are worse off than when we started working with them! Big help they turned out to be! We have faxed our cancellation of our account with them and expect to receive our money back immediately!!! As far as we can see, they have stolen $1000 from us. It appears this is nothing but another scam! We will handle things on our own from now on! You obviously cannot trust anybody to help you out or even keep their word! They have just wasted our time and money and screwed up our credit far more than it would have been if we had just found a way to work with Discover and Chase ourselves.
We have faxed our cancellation as of 6/26/10 and PFS had better not even think about taking another $358.08 out of our account on July 1st.
