My husband and I are both diabled senior citizens, we also have custody of a great grand daughter,We are on s.s and receive a small amount fro state to care for her. I am really in a bind at this monent, I borrowed fom the pay day loans over several years, and finally it caught up with me, because I coulc no longer keep up with the fees and pay neccessay living expenses. I am now stessed out , what can I do? I know I should not have went there,but I had to try to make ends meet.

The Answer

Dear Margaret,

It sounds like you should contact the pro bono bankruptcy assistance group in your state and see if you qualify for free bankruptcy help.

Bankruptcy will end all legal obligations for these debts and allow you to move forward. Otherwise you option is to not pay and let them sue you. Without assets they would not be able to collect on it.
