My Grandma Cosigned for My Car Loan and She is Going Bankrupt. I Think the Wrecker in Front of My House Wants to Repo It. – Mark

“Dear Steve,

My grandmother and myself are on title of my car, as Mark and_______, she is filing bankruptcy and I still owe 3,000.00 on car. I live in Ky, and saw a wrecker outside my house last night, it has only been one week.

Can they take my car now, before going to court, or can they take it at all? thanks

Mark”

The Answer

Dear Mark,

Are you current on the car payments?

The best thing to do would be for you to call the car finance company and discuss the situation with them. Guessing is not going to be helpful. Let’s find out what their intentions are and then we can deal with them.

Let me know what they say.

Please update me on your progress by posting updates here in the comments section of your question. I’m very interested in how this works out for you.

Big Hug!
