Look out!!!  At first it looks like Westbury Duke is okay.  They took their profits upfront, agreed on a settlement amount, settled four small creditors……………THEN left the largest account outstanding with absolutely no notice to me. i began receiving calls from the creditor only to be informed that Westbury Duke said that i was no longer in their program.  My understanding was that if i met the conditions and requirements of the agreement that they would handle the debt. THEY DID NOT!  This should be illegal and met with a class action lawsuit!

This company is a SCAM!!! they are based out in Santa Ana- the company laid off all there employees and moved on about 5 people into there new company- because Westbury Duke FAILED- they moved on to SCAM Canada now they are now running CAMBRIDGE LIFE SOLUTIONS, if you look at there website it is almost identical as Wesbury Duke.  They are low life people that just want to make a buisness- doing it the lazy way and take peoples money promising them they will fix there credit which is not true- once you get summons they will tell you they cant help you there, they DO NOT pay your creditors unless they will settle for ideally less which alot of creditors will not SETTLE GET OUT WHILE YOU CAN!!! they are JUST OUT FOR YOUR MONEY!!!

Please save your money. I was duped about $4000.00 in barely 3 months by year 2011 plus without any plan of refund. Please do not be duped into this scammers.

  • Lifeinslo

Do not waste your money – Westberduke has done nothing but take a lot of money on up front fees.

They did not negotiate with the creditors and I ended up
going to court costing me additional court and attorney fees.  They did nothing but take a lot of money out
    of my pocket –

Joan has been amazing. She is there for me whenever i call; no matter how many questions i have. Imagine how happy i was to here my credit card would take $1,250 for the $5,000 debt i owed. Thanks Joan and my negotiator at westbury.

I am very disappointed with the service that I have received from Westbury Duke. My representative left and I was not notified. Months went by and nothing was done. I tried to call them and had a hard time getting in touch with them. Finally a new representative called and said she would assist me. She made a commitment to extend my payment until January 11, 2011. Unfortunately, my account was debited on December 15, 2010. When I called her back she blatantly lied about our conversation. Also, beware, you do not get your money back. I was scammed. This is so stressful. I have learned to research before I proceed. This has proven to be very costsly.

I’ve been looking into this business because a relative has retained them. They have only been in business since July of this year and have an “F” rating by the BBB. When I called them with questions, they were avoiding answering some, but with further questioning I finally got some answers however he kept going back to “how they were going to save me money”. After the phone call I crunched the numbers and THEY DID NOT ADD UP!!! Please beware!!

Be careful! I spent a long time on the phone with the rep who answered. I have a background in finance and banking and this guy was fast talking, and talked in circles a bit when asked direct questions. While I don’t typically condone this, I did allow him to pull my credit and determine whether the creditors were participants in the program. Perhaps it was stupid of me, since I know who my creditors are… The second phone call was later to verify the creditors. He then asked for the following to be faxed to him: (keep in mind I have not yet applied) 1. Copy of drivers license to verify residency 2. Copy of bank account 3. Bill showing address. When I told him that I didn’t feel comfortable faxing this information over yet, he replied that he already had the most personal information (my credit report and social). I told him that I would be happy to send this after I could review the proposal and application with my husband, but he refused to send me anything. This set off a red flag with me, so I looked them up on the Better Business Bureau. They do not have a rating at all- but BEWARE- they have only been in business since July of this year! That is only one month!! Also- I found their website and noted the following-”As your funds accumulate in your own personal savings account set up for your debt settlement program offers will go out to your creditors.” This means you send them money before they have even tried to work with the creditors.

OMG, you are so right on this! I signed a three year contract with the company and I have only nine payments to go or nine months left. They have yet settled 2 out of my 6 creditors. But they have gotten their fees of 7K total debited from GCS for the first 12 months of the contract with no results during that period. It is so upsetting to know that after pulling some of the money from the account, they quickly close the account without due notice to me. I tried calling hundred times, no response but an answering machine. Soooo furious!

My $3,000 collection bill was settled for $1,025. Westbury Duke saved me $1,975! I have 2 more credit card bills and I am done. I tried calling my creditors myself and all they offered me was a payment plan which included late fees and lowering my interest rate from 32% down to 28% – ridiculous. The best thing i did for myself was let someone with experience help. I have already referred Westbury to my friends and family.

  • Mike

The customer service is good. My creditors have stopped trying to get money out of me and have started calling Westbury. I did get calls in the beginning which was kinda annoying but I was told to expect that so I guess I can’t really complain. I’m not done yet but based on what I have experienced with them I would recommend them.

  • Sandy

My husband and I were very skeptical at first but everything has been going as they said. Still have some time to go in the program but no complaints.

All I say is watch out for your money. They get tons of fees from your account and working less for your goal.

  • Robert

So far so good. Took some time but the creditor calls stopped. I’ve settled one account and we are working on the next. I would recommend.
