“Dear Steve,
Hi, I’m a single parent of two, I have so much debt it feels like I’m drowning.
I have a car note that I’m behind. I’ve been kicked out of my apartment. I have hospital bills, loans from companies to keep up, that didn’t help , but made it worst. I have bill collecters call day and night and work on cell. What can I do to get back on the right track.. I don’t even know where to begin..”
The Answer:
The place to being is anywhere. From what you’ve shared I’m not clear if the problem is a lack of income or debt in excess of what you can manage on your income.
It might just be that you currently earn not enough to meet the basic living expenses and support any debt repayment at all. Let’s examine the income issue first before we rush to implement any debt solution.
