Dear Edward,
A visit the the Debt Counseling Corporation site shows me they are a member AICCCA and ISO certified. They are also an IRS approved 501(c)3 nonprofit credit counseling agency.
I really don’t think they are trying to scam you. There might have been a delay in processing your documents. I know how stressful it is when you provide personal information and then feel like you might have made a mistake.
Hopefully by the time I answer this they will have contacted you. If not, just let me know in the comments and I’ll contact them for more information.
