Our Chapter 13 Bankruptcy Was Dismissed. What Happens Now? – Kim

We filed chapter 13 br just over 2 years ago. My huband was laid off from his 8 year job just over 5 months ago decreasing our income substansially. Before his job was finished, we contacted our br attorney to discuss what our otpions would be to continue our monthly br payments for the plan based on our new income. They were not able to modify our plan based on the sizable debt. He reccomended trying to refinance our mortgage which did not go through. Since, we have not been able to juggle our $1500 a month br repayment and $1000 mortgage and have fallen behind on the bankruptcy payments causing a dismissal. I am waiting to hear back from the attorney on our plan of action. Based on what he told us prior on the what if this happend, our case will be dismissed cold. What if any is our recourse? We are fearful of losing our home amongst what is left of our income. Please help.
