I Tried to Close My Debt Settlement Account But They Won’t Respond. – Shanna

I recently tried to close an account with a debt settlement company and they will not respond so I have had to close my bank account to prevent future withdrawls. I have also asked for a refund and again get no response. I am currently in the process of following your advice in writing to the company and sending it certified mail. I have noticed that in Washington State there have been some class action suits filed against Noteworld and their various affiliations.

Is there a way to become part of the class action suit in hopes of receiving a refund?

    Hello Shanna,

What is the name of the settlement company? Yes as Steve said, Noteworld is just an escrow account provider for the settlement company. If you contact Noteworld directly, they will refund any money that is still in the account. You will have to go after the settlement company directly for the fees though.

It would be best and go back and follow the entire process I laid out in “How to Get Out of a Debt Relief Program and Get a Big Refund.”

Keep in mind that NoteWorld is not a settlement company but is a third party vendor to collect and distribute funds. However, reaching out to NoteWorld can help to get the attention of the debt settlement company.
