So What’s Your Opinion? NoteWorld Sales Assistance Seminar.

A tipster (send in your tips here) sent me a recent email that was sent out by NoteWorld with the following comment, “Come on Noteworld, you can’t claim to be nothing more than a “payment processor”, yet hold webinars teaching DSCs how to market. Noteworld confuses me.”

So What’s Your Opinion is a series that invites readers to post their thoughts, opinions, comments, and observations about a particular situation or issue. You can weigh in and be heard by posting your feedback in the comments section below.

I’ve asked NoteWorld for a comment on it but by the time this article was published I had not received anything back.

The issue I’d like to hear back from you about is if either NoteWorld or Global Client Solutions, as third-party escrow companies, should even be wandering into helping debt relief companies to sell services? Can that assistance make them appear to be more than just a third-party as was alleged about Global in the Kentucky suit?

Post your feedback and opinion in the comments section below. What do you think? Innocent help or a bad idea.

And hey, if you are a NoteWorld client and want to sign up for the seminar, the contact information is right there for you.

I would like to apologize for my insensitive remarks above. I have been antagonistic but now see the error of my ways and realize I have been part of the problem and not the solution. Can others forgive me and give me a second chance?

Good point. Any help to educate groups about compliant marketing is a great thing to do.

  • confused, but not deaf

This website is a testimonial to the fact that any user who knows how to hit “enter” can make an allegation. I am shocked that the Debt Settlement PYROMANIACS didn’t put your soft ball in play.

I wonder if the Debt Settlement PYROMANIACS misunderstood your question and thought that you were asking for them to respond with answers SUPPORTED BY FACTS on whether there is any legitimacy to support a potential allegation of the nature that you have described.

Lets try and see if an off subject, “but similar soft ball type of question” will help frame the issue so that the Debt Settlement PYROMANIACS might feel more comfortable responding….

If a popular website has been successfully exploiting Blackhat SEO tricks to drive traffic from the major search engines, and then out of the blue someone brought those tricks to the search engines attention….. would it be hard to defend, and could it lead to huge problems?

The correct answer would be… YES, but ultimately it is up to Google and Yahoo to decide if the activity rose to the level that dictated banishment from the search engines index.

    Steve,
I think in times that we are facing the real players and those with a proven record need to assist the industry in any way possible.
I am hopeful that the information is about how to sell in COMPLIANCE, to be sure to run a business like a business and not a garage operation.
I realize they are a service provider to the industry but in my personal dealings with them, they have been very much on the up and up. I can tell you from having been in their corporate office they take great pride in being a licensed money transmitter. From what isaw there are several licenses on a wall and the fact that they do have auditors in there from different states at different times sure makes me feel good.
I am sure this industry needs to get a nice cleanse and get out all the impurities in the industry, but I believe the legitimate players and organizations will begin to surface always putting the consumers first.
I would be quite surprised if it goes the direction of other sales seminars put on by lead vendors.
    I really hope not.

    this too

    I 2nd that

  • Chris Garrison

IMO, there is no issue. The seminar looks to be put on by Epsilon, with Noteworld just doing an introduction to companies who may be able to utilize their service. The 3 speakers on the seminar all appear to be from Epsilon, with no one from Noteworld actually “teaching DSCs how to market”.
