I received a phone call in December about how this company can assist me with getting rid of my debt because they can pay it off up front to where it won’t severely affect my credit.
I gave them budgeted information via phone and upon agreement, I was sent a contract with an amount that would be used toward the program and was instructed not to pay or respond to any of my creditors. I was enrolled in the program for 8 months.
I would get helpful emails regarding debt and how to manage it, friendly information on what to do if I were contacted about the program by creditors. I was given login information and the ability to track my account. This gave me the extra assurance I needed to trust this company.
It wasn’t until August that I started to get concerned when I wasn’t receiving replies for inquiries I sent and the creditors were now threatening for legal action. Fortunately, I am working with them on getting everything settle d or taken care of. Some were very understanding of the situation as they may have encountered it before and others were really harsh and just wanted to make me cry.
I really just wanted to do what I thought would be best for me so that I can be debt free by the new year.
I am now following Steve’s guide on how to get a refund since I am getting nowhere via phone. Hopefully it will work out considering some aren’t having the best of luck.
Fortunately I was able to stop the payments and get this done before it became a much larger loss. I hope everyone else does the same and gets a rewarding outcome.
I think its horrible that companies such as these thrive off the vulnerability of one’s situation and may not really get anything out of it aside from a paycheck with a small bonus for signing someone up.
The company that contacted me is Debt Resolution Group, the company that has my information now is Next Generation Debt Settlement and they partnered with Noteworld Servicing to debit my account.
