The Franklin Group / Franklin Financial Group Consumer Complaint 11 11 2011

Consumer Statement:

I had been paying Franklin Financial (Jacksonville FL) for over a year for credit repair. $75 a month. In July they stopped charging me and it seems they are just out of business. With 15 months of paying $75 a month, my credit is exactly the same, scores are even a little lower, and things on report just marked “in dispute” said my local credit union.

Franklin Financial said it took ’5 rounds’ of disputing and requesting reports until they could really do something to get stuff removed. Well, after the 5th round..they are out of business?????!!!!!

I got ahold of email of girl who was handling my ‘case’ via email asking her if out of business, no one returns calls, and I went to credit union to get approved for car loan and my credit scores lower and everything still on and just said ‘in dispute’.

She wrote back about sending her a copy of the credit unions credit report of mine. But, I emailed her back saying “are you out of business???” and no response!

Consumer Action Taken:

I have emailed numerous times, called, faxed. I get NO response.

Note:

The website lists two names for the company. The say they are both The Franklin Group and the site title is Franklin Financial Group. – Source

According to the State of Florida corporate records there is no active company under The Franklin Group and Franklin Financial Group.

I was however able to locate Franklin Financial Group I, LLC. – Source

There is also a Franklin Financial Froup I, Inc. that was made inactive and was owned by Dionne.

The domain name franklin-finance.com is owned by:

Tom Dionne
8550 Argyle Business Loop
Jacksonville, Florida 32244

There is no corporate officer under Tom Dionne of a company with a name even remotely similar in Florida.

There are three additional sites on the same server with Franklin-Finance.com:

fixmyfile.com
franklin-finance.com
get-financed.org
rebuildandbuy.com

It is a bit odd that the website for The Franklin Group would not use their correct name.

According to the BBB the company maintains a B+ rating with eight complaints closed in the last twelve months. – Source

We sent a letter to the company at the address given by the consumer and asked them to publicly respond to this complaint.
