Consumer Statement:

This suppose Mrs. Turner called an ex-boyfriend of mine, from a blocked # and left a message stating she was calling regarding a “theft by deception” matter involving me. Only left my first name, no last name. Didn’t leave a company name just a # 601-351-9445. Just stated she was an investigator. She stated that if I didn’t call back, it would be jeopardizing to me. I am very confused and don’t know what to do. Very frightened by this “Theft by deception” term.

Consumer Action Taken:

I have not called them back.

(1) I did an online search and a # similar to this 601-351-9447 came up stating info about a supposed private investigator (Link: http://800notes.com/Phone.aspx/1-601-351-9447 ).

A SUPPOSEDLY DETECTIVEINVESTIGATOR MICHEAL BRIDGES IS CALLING STATING THAT HE IS CALLING IN REGARDS TO A FRAUD CASE HE ASKED FOR MY SOCIAL SECURITY #, DOB, DRIVERS LICENSE # AND PARENTS NAME….THIS SEEMS TO BE A FRAUDSTER AND NEEDS TO BE REPORTED. CALLED THE # BACK AND THERE IS A BUNCH OF NOISE IN THE BACK GROUND AND WHEN ASKED WHAT COMPANY I WAS CALLING, MALE ASKED ME WHERE WAS I CALLING FROM AND ADVISED THAT I WAS CALLING PRIVATE AND DISCONNECTED THE LINE.

The above person left a message on my phone indicating she was an investigator working on a check fraud case involving someone I knew many years ago. I called the number back after I heard the message and asked her how she got my name and she said because I had been in contact with the person in question. Which is not true because I have not had contact with the person for about eight years. It seemed very fishy because of the way they answered their phone, which did not sound like a professional investigators office or anything like that. Too casual??? Please investigate this because it sounds like a complete scam and have our personal information!

I got a call same thing 601-351-9445 I looked up the number and seen post for similar numbers. I really think its a scam they transfered me over to someone at a RP mediations and it was obvious a 3-way call however the number there is 770-872-4080 and then they also have a “law firm” MTW and Associates who sent me paper work of the reported debt BUT when i looked the law firm up all it was was a home made looking website IF i do or if i dont owe the debt I wont be paying these people it seems to fishy They are not listed in the BBB and the comoany i found had a F this has got to be a scam.
