Consumer Statement:

Hollywood Video had a going out of business sale where they sold all of their inventory for cash only because their computers could no longer ring up retail sales and they were not providing receipts or returns all sales final. I received a letter from a collections company three years after the go out of business saying I owe them money for two of the videos I purchased for cash.

Consumer Action Taken:

I contacted the company a got a nasty woman you right off the get tried to explain to me why I am liable regardless of what I claim happened because they have been to court, on my alleged debt but without ever notifying me, a clear violation of my legal rights. After I started telling her in a loud voice she actually cussed me on the phone and I flipped out on her and she hangs up!

If you feel you’ve been financially hurt by a debt relief company and deserve a refund, read these step-by-step instructions on how to proceed to attempt to get your money back.

If you do get your money back, come back and leave a comment about it. I’d love to praise companies that step-up and do the right thing for people.
