    i got a discovery walmart credit card last december to get a new tv, they told me 0% apr for 18 months. but last night that i was checking my balance i saw they were charging me $16 of interest for january and same amount for february. i call them and they tolod me that was an offer whether spent at least $299. i dont want to pay them anything of interest they are not respecting what tehy told me. whom i can complaint about it, any phone . thanks

    Well I was looking to make a settlement of $300 less than what I owe… From the comments I’m reading this is not going to happen! I’ve worked in a call center.. a very well organized call center where employees get customer compliments daily. I strongly dislike calling call centers because I know from experience that it doesn’t have to be that way! People every where needs jobs and will go through extensive training to keep or get their job.

    Walmart Discover Credit Card is handled by GE Money Bank and my experience has been totally awful. The Customer Service which is located in Orlando, FL sucks. I am latino like most of the representatives but they are illiterate. It seems they do not receive any kind of training to do the job. I’d wish this card would be handled by Discover Financial which knows how to provide a “great service”. Totally disappointed. Now, I have to cut this card, close the account and as a consequence It will be a negative impact in my credit card. But, it is frustrating that every time you call you are being assisted by an illiterate person that does know what is doing at all.

    After filing a walmart discover ie. GE capital bank complaint, a illiterate responded: You’ll come back, they are the biggest credit bank in the nation…duh! ever hear of Knight investment just lost 440 Mil. in an hour.. or enron. The bigger they are, the harder they fall.

    furious!!! used it the first time, and she asked if I wanted cash back. I asked for 20.00dollars, called later to find out it was 22% and charged daily! I thanked her and cut up the card!

      Just to clarify. According to the Walmart site the credit card has a 22.9% APR and cash advances are 25.9% APR, not daily. There is no interest charged if the account balance is paid in full by the due date. “Your due date is at least 23 days after the close of each billing cycle. We will not charge you any interest on purchases if you pay your entire balance by the due date each month.”

      But there is a $5 fee for each time you take a cash advance on the card.

    Walmart credit cards are the worst I have ever dealt with. I just got a walmart/discover card..haven’t had it one week and it has been blocked by the company for 30 days…because The company had a question about a purchase..and had me talk with someone who spoke broken english, and asked me the dumbest questions….and becasue i couldn’t understand him and/or didn’t answer them correctly, I am being punished. I have a new Walmart/Discover card that I can’t use because of 2 reasons, I don’t understand broken English and My answers aren’t the same as their answers EVEN THOUGH I know my answers were totally correct. The people at Discover have wrong information and I am being denied the use of the credit card because I don’t know which question or questions to lie about in order to regain the use of the credit card. I am asked questions about a state that I have never lived in, a county that I have never owned property in, several addresses I have never lived in or near….yet because ( according th=o them ) didn’t answer the questions correctly..like I am to stupid to remember when I own property or lived and so forth. STUPID STUPID STUPID!!

      It sounds like DISCOVER did the correct thing. I have been a Discover cardmember since 1988 and have never had any problems with this company. Sounds pretty sketchy on Gregory’s part.

       Ugh, that is annoying! Have you checked your credit reports lately to make sure they don’t have any wrong info? One of my 3 reports shows me as living in a town that I don’t think I have ever even been to. But I did work for a place whose headquarters was 1 town over. … I have given a few wrong answers because of that. But it was eventually straightened out.

      I totally agree with you. I am latino like most of the people working in the call center but they are illiterate. They do not practice or it seems they do not receive any kind of training on Customer Service. It seems that they just hire any person for that position. Each time I call them I get frustrated. I’m just about to cut the card and close the account. However, since every time you close an account it might have a negative impact in your credit. I have to wait a little bit to do that. The worst credit card ever. Also when you make a payment. They take the money from the account but they do not post it after 8 or 21 days. They say that it is for security of the customer. I have credit cards with other companies including Discover Financial which does not have to do with this credit card and the service is totally different (in a good way of course). I wished I’ve seen the reviews before to apply for this card.
