The Answer
Dear Sharon,
The Mortgage Law Group says they are comprised of Macey, Aleman & Searns, a law firm. Not that it is directly related to your situation but Macey and Aleman recently had a complaint filed against them by the Illinois Attorney Registration and Disciplinary Commission.
A quick look online found some other people complaining about The Mortgage Law Group also.
I say all of this, not to alarm you, but to put the overall situation into the context that others appear to be unhappy as well.
The first step you should take is to contact The Mortgage Law Group and voice your concerns and ask them for direct answers to your concerns.
It’s unclear from your question the exact type of help you hired them for. But if you’ve received a notice of foreclosure you must take that seriously. It indicates the lender is moving ahead with a scheduled foreclosure.
Please contact The Mortgage Law Group today and report back in the comments what their response was to your concerns.
If they are unable to answer your concerns to your satisfaction then we can escalate the matter.
