My Mother Will Visit Me Here in Dubai. Will She Be Arrested at the Airport? – Nangfa

Debt not pay want sponsor mother’s visa in Dubai

Please help me, I want to sponsor visit visa for my mother in Dubai. 4 years ago my mother and her husband are here in Dubai. Her husband got loan from the bank but he left without finish the debt. Then my question: Is that any problem at the immigration or airport when she will arrive here or leave from Dubai or any problem for me if I will sponsor her. She separated with her husband but not yet divorce.

The Answer

Dear Nangfa,

It sounds like her ex-husband is the one that got the loan, and not her. So it does not sound like it should be a problem.

To be safe though I would suggest you contact a local attorney in Dubai who can check to see if there are any pending charges against your mother. I doubt there are but it would be smart to check and avoid an unlikely surprise.
