In October of 2011 I received a phone call from Elite Planning Group, they were going to save me at least $2,500 in interest and all I had to do was pay them $900 to get the ball rolling. The best part is that there is no risk! They will gladly give me my money back if I am not satisfied.
I paid, and they referred me to a debt settlement firm. I am opposed to debt settlement, so they said they would give me a full refund. I waited a month and recieved a printout that showed that if I paid an extra $100 a month towards my bills I could save a lot of money over time. Well, of course – if I just paid all the bills off completely I would save a fortune! The problem is that I do not have an extra $100 a month.
Anyway, again they said they would refund my money in May of 2012.
Consumer Action Taken:
I called the company at the end of May and they told me that I should get my refund around the 20th of June. I called at the end of June and they said I should get my money at the end of July. I called at the end of July and they said the end of August. I called at the end of August and now I was told the 20th of September for sure.
I called the end of this month, but cannot get to the finance department who evidently does not have phones.
