World Law Debt Assistance - Company and Site Review - Watch Out!

The following review was generated as the result of a request made by a tipster (send in your tips here) who wanted me to look at this allegedly new debt relief company.

While the company says their corporate office is in Texas, a search of the Texas Secretary of State records could locate no company registered under the name of World law Debt Assistance.

Again, according to the Texas Secretary of State, World Law Debt is a registered assumed name of Swift Rock Financial of Lago Vista, Texas. The name is registered to Roger D. Peugh and Derin Scott is the governing person for Swift Rock Financial.

The company also claims that it’s affiliate business office is located in California but the State of California has no company registered to do business under the name World Law Debt or World Law Debt Assistance.

I could not find any independent verification that any company named World Law Debt or World Law Debt Assistance was located at the California address.

The Texas post office box has been used by a number of people, including:

While the company claims they have been in existence since 1998, the website was created in 2012 and there is no evidence that a company in either California or Texas is registered to do business under their name.

The website for World Law Debt Assistance provides some testimonials but there is no supporting documentation regarding what these testimonials represent. Are they full settlements of all the persons debt, partial settlements, and what percentage of active clients do these testimonials represent?

Maybe even more alarming is that they list a number of states they allegedly have clients in but they do not appear to be licensed or registered to do business in those states. – Source

The BBB has no listing for a company named World Law Debt Assistance.

A company World Law Debt in Texas is listed with an F rating and associated with Derin Scott. – Source

Maybe more disturbing for me, is the fact that companies operating under the name World Law Debt have made similar claims before about large national and international networks of attorneys. A claim that has been relatively unsupported in the debt relief arena. My previous research found that one variation of the company was linked to an possible and attorney that was licensed to practice law in Texas but located in the Czech Republic.

  Haskins does not appear to be licensed to practice law in California, only Texas and are you saying he is the one solely behind World Law Debt Assistance, an apparently unregistered company?
