I am working with a debt relief companyNew Horizon out of Florida. One of the credit card companies offerd me by mail a great payoff much less than I owe.Can I work independently to pay this off? Their contract is a bit threatening about they only dealing my credit issue.

Dear Joann,

It’s my understanding that New Horizon Credit Counseling, vanished. If that’s the same company then you should read this article.

You can most certainly work with your creditors directly. After all they are your creditors.

If you have any concerns about your relationship with New Horizon I would urge you to give them a call and discuss your issues with them, if you can actually reach them.
