On April 28, 2013, I paid $2750.00 (half of the $$5500.00) fee for The Remedy Law Group using the real estate attorney Pamela Stacey Gerber Gressier.
They claimed that could postpone the sale date of April 23, 2013. They did not.
Thankfully, we had attempted to short sale the property a few weeks before I hired The Remedy Group. The realtor’s fast work caused us to have a postponement of the sale date.
The Remedy Group lied and told me that could have a principal reduction. Indeed, my loan with Freddie Mae never reduces the principal. They also claimed to be able to modify the loan even though I have turned down several times.
They also wanted me to file a skeleton Chapter 13 just in order to save the home. They claim to have an office in Orlando and we hired an out of state Attorney because they had an office here.
Yet when I was summoned to court 1 day before the sale of my home, on April 22, 2013, they did not have an attorney here in Orlando to follow me to court to represent me. I have reported the attorney to the California Board. They have taken me seriously as I am a medical doctor.
Consumer Action Taken:
I have asked The Remedy Law Firm for a prompt refund. I have not received my $2750.00 back yet.
