“Dear Steve,
I am currently a college student that has already acquired over 7,000 in debt with credit cards, medical bills and tution. I am currently owe more than I make and I have been trying to find a new job so I can get myself out this mess.
What is the best way out of my debt situation without ruining my credit?
Alicia”
The Answer:
Dear Alicia,
The only way out of your situation that would not make a mark on your credit would be to pay at least the minimum payment on your credit card on time each month.
Anything intervention outside of that or paying the balance in full can have consequences and lower your credit score and show up on your credit report.
Keep looking for the new job to increase the amount you can pay each month and for goodness sale, don’t add any more debt to your already large balance.
