I've never had a UI so easy to navigate around my phone, plus the conversation window that's created when sending texts back and forth is an unbelievable time-saver. I personally think the iphone is worth every penny, as you say, you might not *need* it, but it definitely makes life *simpler*, well, mine anyway :P I currently own a 3G iPhone and I can say that the price of the phone/mp3 player has payed for itself. Iphones are pretty ridiculous. I was kicking myself in the face for buying a Blackberry Pearl, and that doesn't even come close to the price of the Iphone.
