Bonnie,

Pursue that first to address the underlying issue and the rest will fall into place one way or another. Contacting the EAP is a great step.

Bonnie,
Steve makes a great point. To become debt free means to let go of your credit cards- using credit leverages more debt, if you can't afford to keep up with payments now, you definitely can't afford to keep doing what you've been doing- otherwise the situation will never change.
You may want to see the advice of a certified debt specialist to learn about how debt settlement can empower you to take control and get out of your difficult situation.
The energy and clarity our clients receive by knowing they have found the right solution for them is amazing!

You hit the nail on the head, I do have a compulsive spending problem. I meant I could get out of debt in TWO years, not six. Thank you so much, we have an EAP service where I work, I need counseling.
