“Dear Steve,

I contacted HOPE Now to help me with my mortgage situation. I had my mortgage suspended for a couple of month’s due to surgery and have since returned to work. HOPE Now is going to contact my lender to add the 5 months to the end of my loan. I also asked my lender to add my payments to the end of my loan but they told me they don’t do that. According to HOPE Now they do. I’m also being referred for credit counseling. Who is Money Management International? Apparently they can lower my interest rates. I did contact my creditors but none are willing to lower my rates unless I close my cards and its only for 12 months. I am so overwhelmed as to who to believe and what to do during this difficult times.

Why are creditors referring me to MMI? What do know about MMI? Should I wait to hear from HUD before going through HOPE. It seems like they are all linked in some way.

Laura”
