“Dear Steve,
I have multiple accounts on my credit that are in outstanding order. However, I also have 4 derogatory accounts that have brought my credit down quite considerably.
Since a civilian lawyer can help by sending letters to credit companies and the business itself to dispute or investigate further (for usually a large fee), can JAG do the same for the Soldier so they do not have to spend a ton of money?
Nathan”
The Answer:
Dear Nathan,
Those credit repair techniques you mention are basically B.S. While a disputed account may be able to be removed temporarily, the moment the creditor reports to the bureaus again it will get dumped right back. Additionally, using a falsified credit report to apply for future credit is a crime.
You are much better off to actually pay the outstanding items you owe and show the accounts as paid, than engage in attempted trickery.
