The Answer:
Dear Deborah,
My bankruptcy friends tell me there are some clever ways around this but I’m left with the bigger concern that this seems to point to some very significant underlying relationship issues. You should discuss the possibility of divorce with your bankruptcy lawyer to see how that would change things.
Forgive me if I’m being presumptuous but it certainly sounds like you two may be married but living very different lives. Has it always been that way?
