“Dear Steve,

I have read a lot of of your advices from different problems. I am based in Dubai and my case is almost similar to those who have problems with the banks, but it’s not actually me but my brother.

The situation is, he and his manager went to the banks to settle his loans, but banks told them to go to police because they’ve already filled a police case against him. So, they went there and then they did not allow to leave unless pay the full amount which the bank is asking.

My question is, if we pay the full amount, can we apply for the new visa for him or, can Dubai issue new visa for him? Or can they give a clearance after they release him?

Waiting for your reply and more power!

Best regards,

Jiv”

Dear Jiv,

It is my understanding that as long as you can prove the debts have been paid then all the other issues can be resolved. Just make sure you keep the original documentation showing the court case is closed and the bank has released him from his debt.

I have not heard of any cases of people being denied visas or being kicked out of the country after resolving the debt problem.

Please update me on your progress by posting updates here in the comments section of your question. I’m very interested in how this works out for you.

Big hug.

Hi Steve,

Thank you so much for your quick response. My brother has been transfered now to the central jail and they said that after 10 more days, they will release him and will give clearance. Because he already paid 1000 AED/day in jail.

We are waiting till the last day if they will really give clearance.

Thank you so much!
Jiv
