OfflineRuth,
It is always possible to be debt free.
If you cannot afford the payments on the debts as they stand, you can speak to your creditors to inquire what options they may have for you, or seek out a formal repayment arrangement with a third party or there always is insolvency/bankruptcy.
A few things to look at would be are the debts in both your names and will your husband be back working anytime soon?
Regards,
Jon

I am the main bread winner in the home at the moment as my husband was recently made redundant, and we have a few debts that need to be paid, but on my salary I am not able to make the payments easily.
What I want is to be totally debt free and be able to start saving towards our own home.
My question would have to be:- Is it possible for me to make the situation any easier? And is it possible to ever be totally debt free?
Ruth
