OfflineMia,
From everything you have stated you are insolvent and bankruptcy is a good way to be relieved of the debts and the stress.
Why do you not want to go bankrupt, besides the costs involved?
If your creditors do take you to court for any legal action, you can appear and attempt to explain your situation; this may not change the outcome of the case.
There is the option of doing nothing and waiting to see if the creditors get tired of chasing you for payment and wait out any statutes on the debts; but this can take time and cause a lot of stress along the way.

Jon

I lost eveything 2 years ago. I lived on my unsecured line of credit and credit cards until they maxed out.
I am on disability. The government is sharing my personal information with the creditors and I can't change my address because my cheques come here. What I have been doing is writing on the outside envelope (unopened) unknown person or return to sender etc. I don't have the money.
Is there anything else I can do? I don't want to file bankruptsy and don't have the money anyway.
I don't have the money to pay them. I was told that if you have no contact for 7 years they have to dismiss the claim, is that true?
If they sue and I do not appear because I don't know they are suing (I haven't opened mail) how long will it stay?
Are there any options to get rid of it all?
Mia
