Consumer Complaint: Hello, I received a letter in the mail from Convergent Outsourcing Inc stating I owed ” XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX money from a XXXX XXXX account that is not even mine. They stated the amount that I owed was {$1100.00}, however when I called XXXX XXXX on this with the account they stated the amount owed was {$850.00} and it was opened in XXXX . It was then sold to a debt collector in XXXX . Which makes this debt illegal to even collect on according to the fair credit reporting act. They are doing illegal practices trying to collect debt that is not even mine and violating the fair credit reporting act by trying to collect old debt. Regards, XXXX
