Consumer Complaint: I obtained a copy of my credit report from XXXX and found negative accounts that should have been removed from my report permanently within XXXX days upon completion of the student loan rehabilitation program. I successfully completed the program in XXXX of XXXX . I spoke with multiple associates from Navient on multiple dates receiving misinformation that I would be mailed a letter from them stating that Navient no longer carries my student loan debt, as my debt was transferred over XXXX years ago, and that they would write the credit department and have the negative accounts removed from my credit report. I was even told that the debt removal would be reflected on my credit report by the beginning of XXXX , XXXX at the very latest, and after the XXXX phone call, that I would be getting an e-mail of this to fast-track the process. The U.S. Dept. of Education su ccessfully removed the negative accounts on their end. After a duratio n of over XXXX months of repeatedly calling and receiving this same information, this never happened. Upon finally speaking with a supervisor, I was told that Navient would not remove my negative credit remarks at all and that I should have wrote a letter to Navient XXXX months ago to dispute this. None of this information was given by their employees by t he XXXX previous len gthly phone calls. According to sect ion 674.39 of the CFR, Navient must re move all of my negative accounts since I completed the rehabilitation program and it has been way passed XXXX days since completion. My XXXX phone call with one of Navient ‘s associates was back in XXXX of XXXX , though this is the XXXX phone call I did not write down the name and employee ID for. All other dates, names, and employee ID ‘s of my phone calls are as follows : – XX/XX/XXXX , XXXX , XXXX – XX/XX/XXXX , XXXX , XXXX – XX/XX/XXXX , XXXX , XXXX – XX/XX/XXXX , XXXX , XXXX XXXX , XXXX , XXXX – XX/XX/XXXX , XXXX XXXX I am requesting that these items be removed from my credit report.
