Consumer Complaint: My student loan was previously with XXXX XXXX which recently got acquired by Navient. When my loan got transferred to Navient , they changed the repayment terms of my loan without my consent or knowledge. At XXXX , I was on a graduated payment plan paying $ XXXX . Navient changed this to an interest-only payment plan with a monthly payment of only {$160.00}. When I called to explain the problem, Navient claimed there was nothing they could do because they re-payment plan was based on information they received from XXXX . However, when I called XXXX , I told them the problem and they said it was not correct. I got a letter from XXXX with the correct re-payment terms and sent it via pdf ( through access to my account on their website ). I am still waiting for Navient to do the right thing. I am certain that I am not the only one who has suffered from Navient ‘s attempts to change the repayment terms to their benefit after they acquired XXXX .
