Consumer Complaint: I found an account on my husbands credit report for {$100.00} for XXXX XXXX from Columbia Collections we had received zero paperwork from them. When I contacted them they informed me it was an old medical debt. This amount was never put on my credit report only my husbands. The account was paid in full on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX . This company then on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX filed the account as outstanding on my credit report after it was paid in full. Now they are refusing to provide me with my accounting of this account that was already paid. They said they do not have to provide me with detailed accounting that shows when they report to credit companies. I have issues with a company that is reporting a debt that has been paid in full after the fact to my credit report, this is against the law and the fair credit reporting act.
