Consumer Complaint: Received a missed call to my business phone number on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX at XXXX XXXX XXXX from XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX . They did not leave a message. Received another call to my business phone number on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX at XXXX XXXX form XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX . They did not leave a message. I called the numbers back from my personal cell phone to find out who the calls were from. Both phone numbers picked up with an automated system for ” ECMC ‘ s default management. ” On my phone call to XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX on XXXX / XXXX / XXXX at XXXX XXXX I was connected with a representative. The representative asked me for my personal social security number or account number and I let her know that I was calling because I received missed calls. She asked for the phone number that they had contacted and I let her know that it was the business phone. She gave me the name of someone that I know and I let her know that the number they reached was the business line and that the person that they were trying to contact was not allowed to take personal calls at that phone number and to please make a record of that fact. She pressed on and told me that they were attempting to garnish this individual ‘s wages and that they were going to file a non-compliant employer for my company at the address XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX XXXX , CA XXXX . I told her that I was not associated with that address. She asked for more information, but I told her that I was not at liberty to provide any information and asked that it be recorded that the person their company was trying to contact was not allowed to take personal calls at the business phone number. I feel that I was given private information about an individual that violated their privacy. Thank you.
