Consumer Complaint: I was trying to improve my credit s core an d disputed a charge off from XX/XX/XXXX that was charged off but then paid to XXXX in XX/XX/XXXX . within the next couple of months I receive a collection notice from Portfolio Recovery Assoc . saying I owed. I disputed with them and submitted all the paperwork. They denied it only showing the XX/XX/XXXX a mount they did not acknowledge the 21 payments of XXXX per month that was reported to the Credit Bureaus. from XX/XX/XXXX to XX/XX/XXXX . They informed me to take it up with XXXX of which I did. as I am disputing with XXXX Portfolio is sending me more notices that this is my debt. I disputed it again sending it certified this time and once again they will not acknowledge the settlement made to XXXX . In the process they have put this on my credit of which they said it would say disputing. That was false it is showing as my debt. I was in the process of refinancing my home and have had problems due to their accusations.
