Consumer Complaint: On XXXX / XXXX / XXXX at XXXX XXXX I called a debt collector to request information on a letter I received from their company post marked XXXX / XXXX / XXXX on a {$270.00} bill. After I gave them my name and account number the male representative told me in an aggressive manner, ” you hav e 24 hours to pay the bill ”. When I asked for information on the bill he repeated very aggressively again ” pay the bill in 24 hours, do n’t play with him or else ”. I repeatedly asked if his company could give me information on the bill in writing, he was not compliant but after another attempt to obtain information from his company he asked for my email address and then he hung up the phone while I was trying to talk to him. During the time I was requesting info on the bill he continued to speak over me very loudly, stating ” I had 24 hour s to pay the bill so do n’t play with him. ” I never raised my voice during the interaction nor gave him any form of rude communication. The entire experience left me physically and mentally distressed.
