The letter basically says that their client has tried multiple times to get me to pay this debt and now it is with them. They say it is from my XXXX account. I have n’t used XXXX in years. the bill is for {$37.00}. I sent the letter to XXXX and they verified that this was a scam. ” The email is a spoof, also known as a ” phishing, ” email. ( That ‘s phishing, as in ” fishing ” for personal information. ) It did n’t come from XXXX . Our Trust & Safety t eam is working to disable any websites it links to. ” – XXXX email
