Consumer Complaint: Discover student loans has failed to remove late charges on my account that were charged in error. These late charges accumulate to {$60.00} dollars which was reported to all credit agencies and negatively effected my credit score. Discover has since removed the late fees that was reported to the credit bureaus ( only after multiple requests ), but has failed to remove the charges on my actual account. This has increased by first student loan payment by {$60.00}, which is a fraudulent charge. I called Discover on XXXX and spoke with a representative who assured me that these charges were in error and that I would receive follow-up and guidance on how these charges would be removed and the expected date of resolution is XXXX . I never received any follow-up from Discover and the charge of {$60.00} still appears on my account. The kicker is that Discover does not even charge late payments anymore yet they failed to remove this late payment from my account ( which was erroneously added to my account in the first place ).
