Consumer Complaint: There is a neg ative mark showing on my credit report as a collections account with a company called Debt Recovery Solutions. They show the original creditor as : XXXX . This debt collection just started showing on my credit report last XXXX 2016 . I contacted Debt Recovery Solutions and told them I needed verification of what this debt was for because I had no idea what this was all about. They contacted me with in 48 hour s, but all they could tell me was that they verified the debt with XXXX . I informed them that I needed details as to what the debt was for. I was told I would need to contact XXXX to obtain those details. I called XXXX . After being transferred and retelling the story 3 times, and after being on hold for roughly 30 mi nutes, I was then informed that they had no record of what the debt was for. All they knew was that I owed ” for something. ” I told them this was unacceptable. I then proceeded to dispute this with the credit reporting agencies – spelling out for them everything I just wrote here. All of them said the debt was con firmed. I assume that no real investigation occurred and that they just took the word of Debt Recovery So lutions. To this day, XXXX can not and has not provided an itemized bill of what I owe. While it is severely damaging m y credit score, I refuse to just pay out {$870.00} that I do not owe. I do hope this agency can give some assistance to bringing resolution to this matter.
