Consumer Complaint: I have dealt with Navient ( and XXXX XXXX ) since I got out of School and have had nothing but problems with them. They range across the board for a number of things : – Inability to work with me on trying to lower my payments. – Placing my loans in forbearance instead of accepting lowered payment options that I could afford just keep charging me interest. – Hanging up on me when I tried to discuss my repayment or interest lowering options. – Refusing outright to remove my parents from my loan as co-signers even though I ‘ve never had them make a payment on my behalf.
This group of humans have made life for my family rather difficult over the past 10+ years since I ‘ve had to pay my loans. I have gone through times of economic hardship solely because of the extremely high repayment of these loans. As an XXXX Veteran, I simply wanted to do better for my family after leaving the service and Navient is making that XXXX near impossible. I struggle week to week with paying everything because I have to pay them so much. I do n’t want to call them because of what I ‘ve stated above to I do some fancy footwork to make it all come together. But, in the end it exhausts you to no end when you ca n’t even take your wife to a movie because you have to account for every penny so you can make sure you do n’t get hit with a late fee from these jackalsXXXX
