Consumer Complaint: I have received two voice messages on my cell phone and one voice message on work phone. Two of the messages stated they were from Weiss Arbitration and one from Weiss & Associates. The first message were received on XXXX XXXX , 2017 at XXXX XXXX and XXXX XXXX PST. The first call was to my cell phone and the second on my work phone. The voice mail stated : XXXX ( my name ) ” my name is XXXX XXXX calling from Arbitration. My firm has retained a file formal complaint against your name and your social. We will be conducting and in depth investigation in your finances. In state law I am required to notify you 72 hours prior to this which starts right now. You need to be debriefed on all allegations inquired from you financial institute as well as place a statement on the record. I can be at my litigation ‘s department. My phone number is XXXX ext XXXX . ” On XXXX XXXX , 2017 at XXXX XXXX PST the following message was left on my cell phone : ” This message is for XXXX ( my name ). There has been a formal complaint filed with your financial institution. All assets and active accounts are scheduled to be closing within 72 hours. If you wish to protest this case you must contact the law offices of Weiss & Associates at telephone number XXXX or press one to be connected now. ” I called my financial institution on XXXX XXXX , 2017 about the voice messages. The representative said that he did not see anything about my account closing and to report these calls to the ” abuse ” department of bank. The bank was notified by email of these messages.
There has been no written contact from this ” firm, ” and I do not know what this is regarding.
I was contacted by XXXX XXXX and he said that it was regarding some company, XXXX XXXX , and that they had sent a physical letter to my mailing address, as well as my email address. I told him I didnt know what he was talking about and asked him for his physical address. He refused to give me the address, said that they were going to finish this in court, and hung up. Upon minutes of hanging up, he contacted my sister in Texas. She didnt give him any information, she said that he shouldnt be asking for my information. He yelled at her and hung up. Later today, my sister, who lives in Utah, received a message saying that they would be freezing my assets in 72 hours.
