Consumer Complaint: I made a purchase from Lowe ‘s that was financed by Synchrony Bank for {$1500.00}. In XXXX and XXXX it was advertised on television as zero ( 0 ) interest. Nothing was stated about monthly payments. It was also sated I must pay each deferred interest promotional balance in full by its expiration date to avoid paying accrued interest charges. I was also told I may at any time pay, in whole or in part, the total unpaid balance without any additional charge for prepayment. I made advance payments that superseded any monthly annual payments. I paid my promotional balance in full before the expiration date. I was charged late fees, interest and received the most disgusting, harassing and false in formation was entered on my credit report. I am not the only customer with this problem. I spoke with various company representatives that supposed to record our conversation but it did do any good. This promotion in my opinion is the greatest bank scheme that is defrauding millions or billions of dollars monthly or annual from the consumer. XX/XX/XXXX I made the transaction for {$1500.00}. With zero interest and was told XX/XX/XXXX was my expiration date I paid {$66.00} on XX/XX/XXXX. {$500.00} was paid XX/XX/XXXX. Another {$500.00} was paid XX/XX/XXXXand my final {$500.00} was paid XX/XX/XXXX. Balance due now is {$950.00} for what? I did what I was suppose to do.I paid my bill in full before the expiration date. I have a Room To Go account serviced by this bank and the same thing happened.
