Consumer Complaint: I had a car loan for a vehicle with Credit Concepts originated on XXXX for the amount of {$7600.00} In or around XX/XX/XXXX I asked them to come get the vehicle as I could not afford it voluntary repo, the company does not have record of Repossession date. according to the company the vehicle sold to another party for the amount of {$3700.00} and left me a balance of {$3500.00} still owing, the company never sent me any correspondence regarding balance owed however claim they did. I received a writ of garnishment, dated XX/XX/XXXX that stated I was to return the property of the lender which had already been returned, I never received notice of court hearing that i had the right to attend. i have contacted the company on several occasions to inquire about amount owed after the sale and asked for documents to be sent to me, never received any documentation. Today XX/XX/XXXX my employer was notified to garnish my wages for {$8400.00}. When I called the Company regarding why I was never notified of a court hearing I was told that it was served to a person renting a room in my home and that person signed for it, this is giving information about a debt to someone that is not me and has no connection to me, not even my spouse or personal relation to me. this notice of court hearing I never received. on my Credit report it states my balance is {$5100.00}. last payment XX/XX/XXXXcharge off date XX/XX/XXXX, and last on time payment reported on XX/XX/XXXX. Now I am being Garnished for {$8400.00} effective XX/XX/XXXX both of these amounts are higher than the balance I owed when the vehicle was sold and the company says it has continued to collect interest, however the company has made no attempts to contact me regarding this debt. and on the front of the writ of garnishment it states for that the final four of my social security number is to be printed and yet my entire social security number is printed there. When the vehicle was repossessed I contacted the company to inquire and was given no information as to how much was owed. I even recently disputed this company on my credit report because they were reporting the same debt 3 times on one bureau and one them was removed and even to this day are reporting two separate times for the same debt one says started XX/XX/XXXX closed paid in full the other says started XX/XX/XXXX closed charged off. So not only did this company fail to provide me with what I owed after the repossession sale, they also disclosed information of my debt to a third party, i was never notified of a court hearing against me so was never given an option to dispute this in court. They had a court hearing in a county that is 3 hours away from where I live, and now they are charging me well over double what my debt was after the vehicle was repossessed and sold.
