Product: Medical debt

Issue: Written notification about debt

Consumer Consent Provided to Share Complaint: Consent provided

Consumer Complaint: This debt is originally from XXXX healthcare. I have asked before healthcare multiple times to correctly verify the debt. I sent them a bulleted list of the information I need to validate the debt I wanted the payments made as well as each charge. They refused to do it. All they will do is send me statements with the balances. So it got sent to XXXX XXXX and they did not correctly validated either so they removed it. Now it is with Americollect. I sent them a letter stating that I need them to validate the debt and a bulleted list telling what I need according to the fair credit reporting act. They sent me back a letter it was actually very snotty basically saying we already validated which they had not. Maybe they were referring to when XXXX did it but again, XXXX never fully did. So, I had one account with this medical facility. They report each and every visit as a separate item on the collection records to make it look worse on your reports. I had one account. One billing account. They break it down just to get you even worse. They think that they can keep sending it to all these credit companies but again, no one has fully validated the debt. It doesnt matter how many collection agencies they send it to you I have a right to see the charges, dispute charges, compare to my insurance, etc. I also have a right to see each and every payment. They seem to think theyre above the law and refuse to give me that information. They want to just send me blanket statements and not actually address what I have asked of them. I have documentation of every letter I have sent and the bottom line is they are breaking the law.
