Consumer Complaint: I took out a payday loan several years ago through XXXX XXXX XXXX. During that time, things were fine, until I needed to change to a different bank account because I changed where my direct deposit was going. They told me that there was n’t a problem, then they tried to take it out of the wrong bank! When that happened, everything went nuts and I had bounced checks going crazy on that account. This put me in a financial bind and I was not able to pay them, and I had to close out that account. That had to be at least 2-3 years ago.
I received a phone call today at WORK ( I have told XXXX XXXX that they may NEVER call me there ) from XXXX at XXXX telling me that they were in the process of having me charged with defrauding the state of Florida and writing bad checks. Once this happened, I would be arrested at my place of employment! I told them that they could not call me there, but I would have my wife call them back. When she called them, they would n’t give her any information. She wanted their correct name, mailing address, and fax number, but they refused to give it to her or even verify their correct business name. ( They answered the phone as XXXX, XXXX, and XXXX. )
