Consumer Complaint: I have been back and forth with Prestige Financial in regards to a vehicle that was repossessed back in 2016. This vehicle was sold at auction and I never received a notice of sale. When this company sued me and ultimately was awarded a judgement against me and tried to garnish my wages. I never received notice of the original law suit or signed a proof of service. When I discussed this with the company they said that their process server did have my signature. I expressed to them that it was a forgery and the agent dismissed my concerns. I agreed to start making monthly payments with them at some point but was unable to follow through due to unemployment. I have so far made one payment to them.
I have recently reached back out to them to try and set up a payment plan. I offered {$50.00} bi-weekly, but they are refusing to take my payment. They want {$75.00} bi weekly. I received an email form one of their agents emailed me today and basiclly threatened me that if I do n’t ” voluntarily ” set up this payment this would be my last chance. I am not sure how to take this. I am in a financial hard ship and I am doing my best to comply with them. I am so scared that they will take legal actiion and garnish my wages which will put in me a further hard ship. I cant even focus at work thinking about this situation.
