Consumer Complaint: My name is XXXX XXXX date of birth XXXX/XXXX/XXXX last four of my social are XXXX. I got a letter from a company regarding a debt owed for XXXX. I mailed out a letter to this company on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX requesting verification and validation of debt and to this day this company has not responded. I also informed this company I was disputing this debt and yet it had not reflected as such on my credit report. I sent this letter certified mail return receipt request and it was received on XXXX/XXXX/XXXX. This is direct violation of the FCRA and the FDCPA section 809 a and b. I will be seeking legal counsel to protect my rights and seek actual and statutory damages against you and your client. My credit rating dropped 70 points which has caused me XXXX XXXX XXXX. This could have been avoided if you would have followed the laws and not violated my rights. I am demanding proof this debt is mine. Something with my signature agreeing to pay this debt. I also want an itemized listing of what these charges are for. You are also an out of state collection agency and you must be bonded to collect in my state. I will be following up to ensure your surety bond is up to date.
