Issue: Written notification about debt

Consumer Consent Provided to Share Complaint: Consent provided

Consumer Complaint: I received a notice on my XXXX credit card statement from Capital One was past due, attempting to pay the past due amount I paid {$400.00}. Apparently the past due amount was {$400.00} for which they sent to the credit bureaus my account was delinquent for {$9.00}. No where on my monthly statement does it state the past due amount clearly, it just states the past due amount and next month ‘s payment. Very deceiving to a customer when they are trying to bring their account current.
