Consumer Complaint: XXXX XXXX in XXXX, TN to s attempting to collect and is reporting a collections account on my credit reporting agencies for {$280.00} to the original bill owner – XXXX.

I paid XXXX on X/XX/15 and provided the date and check number to XXXX. They claimed thats not enough.

I need this removed from my credit as its damaging my credit not allowing me to reach XXXX for the ability to rent an apt .

So, I contacted them again and requested that if I pay them the money again will they please delete the reporting.

I received in writing that they will not remove the reporting from my credit – they will just change the status.

This is absolutely ridiculous as they are attempting to collect a debt that doesnt exist AND further are not willing to work with me to correct my credit.

Please help.
